Eye Speculum with Curette

In conjunction with The Ohio State University, this project overseen by Dr. Noel Mayo, paired university design students with a medical technologies company to invent and design new products.

This concept, that reached production status, was one item in an eye care kit designed to greatly reduce time and expense associated with emergency eye care needs. The Eye Speculum was specifically designed with a "soft and friendly" feel vs. its cold, thin, metal counterparts.

Ergonomic design better fits the anatomy of the eye lids and face while the finger grips help skilled hands facilitate placement and removal of the device.
