This is a case of turning nothing into something. Extensive Interior Space Design turned this unusable space into a studio, office, or home entertainment room.
There were many design challenges including; no floor, poor stair placement and only one small window for the entire floor. The design was based on two major elements, the staircase and the window.
Wood and structural elements were re-worked to lead the eye from the spiraling entrance stairway to the window area. With the window deliberately set up as a focal point of the space, the seeming lack of natural light was overcome by the celebration of the "porthole" of light that was available.
